RCMP in Manitoba say an 18-year-old woman from Pimicikamak Cree Nation who went missing in the community last week has been found dead, and they say they believe she was outside for a period of time.

Police say the woman was last seen on March 21st and was reported missing a few days later on Friday morning.

Officers began searching, but just after noon that day, police say they got a report of a body being found near the lake in the community.

It was confirmed to be the missing 18-year-old.

Police say they're still investigating, and that there will be an autopsy.
