MMIW Workshop at Kikiwak Inn

There has been a decade-long fight for the safety of indigenous women and girls, As many as 4,000 Indigenous women and girls are believed to have been killed or gone missing in Canada over the past 30 years – although the true number of victims is unlikely ever to be known.

 

The Manitoba Keewatinowi Okimakanak Inc and the Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls Liaison Unit present Akimimowin, a workshop session from the Decolonizing Anti-Indigenous Racism- Knowledge and Empowerment for Safety and Security Project. The workshop is for indigenous women aged twelve to seventy individuals who are impacted by MMIWG2S.
