OCN residents will be allowed to have a maximum of 2 dogs, with the exception of working dogs.
That’s according to By-law number 8 which has been approved by the chief and council.
All dogs living on reserve must be registered and wear the tags their owners receive at the time of registration.
Registration fees are to be renewed annually, And all working dogs must be confined to a suitable enclosure or chained when not in use.
The by-law goes into effect immediately.
To register your dogs go to the Government Services Branch located next to the post office in The Pas.
Registration costs 20 dollars annually and expires on December 31st of each year.
