Tara Manych is the latest recipient of the Queen Elisabeth Second Platinum jubilee medal for contributions made to education in the province.
The Award is given to those that show an exceptional amount of community-mindedness, service, and reconciliation through education.
Manych is the principal at the Kelsey Learning Center, and an instructor with the UCN’s Kenenow Bachelor of education and information program.
The Award was given to Manych by Manitoba premier Heather Stephenson, and Lt. Governor Anita Neville as part of the celebration of the 70th anniversary of the queen’s accession to the throne.
