School Divisions across the province will see an increase in funding as the Manitoban government pledged 100 million dollars in financing for Kindergarten to Grade 12 Schools.
Education Minister Wayne Ewasko says this is part of a new funding formula set at a one hundred percent funding guarantee. All school divisions will see a minimum 2.5 percent increase from the previous year.
The Kelsey School Division in The Pas will receive a 16 Million Dollar budget. The funding will go towards helping students with special needs, providing better education tools, healthier meals, better transport and more.
