The Margaret Barbour Collegiate Institute secured funding from The Northern Manitoban Community Food and Culture Collaborative to give the families of MBCI Students a holiday food hamper.

 

The Grants from the Northern Manitoban Community Food and Culture Collaborative is a collaborative of northern community people, northern advisors, funders, and organizations working together to foster healthier and stronger communities in Northern Manitoba.

 

Starting December sixth, eighth, and thirtieth, MBCI collaborated with the Grub Box to give students a one hundred dollar voucher to spend on food for Christmas.

 

The Rotary Club, OCN Bear Clan, and MBCII staff agreed to help deliver food to families who don’t have access to a vehicle, and Principal Trevor Lane even asked the community to help volunteer.
