Arctic Radio and CJAR were able to donate $1000 to local Seniors' Home Recreational Programs this August & $100.00 in healthy snacks for kids!

Through the contest “100 Grand In Your Hand”, which ran through the summer on CJAR, sponsorship was collected to support a needed area of our community – the quality of life for our seniors.

After speaking with the workers involved in these programs, it was decided this donation would again be welcomed and needed. We also worked with Wescana Inn and were able to
provide healthy eating messages for families while collecting small donations.

Through sponsorships of these two initiatives, CJAR is able to deliver 2 x $500 cheques to St.
Paul’s Residence and the Rod McGillivary Care Home as well as purchasing $100 in healthy snacks.

The contest & promotion have goals of giving back and through the local business community;
this goal was realized again in 2022.
We look forward to next summer and plan to make this a reality again.
