Drug charges have been laid against two residents of Opaskwayak Cree Nation.

On September 27th, a group of police agencies along with the Manitoba First Nations Police Service executed a search warrant at a home on OCN.

Beatrice Mclaughlin, 28, has been charged with possession for the Purpose of Trafficking.  She is scheduled to appear in court on December 13th.

Leo McGinnis, 52, has been charged with Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking and several firearm offenses. He was remanded into custody.

Officers seized approximately 225 grams of cocaine and a pellet gun.

McLaughlin and McGinnis both face drug charges.  McGinnis also faces charges for several firearm offenses.

Police continue to investigate.
