On May 25, 2022, at approximately 7:10 pm, The Pas RCMP responded to a stabbing at The Pas Correctional Centre.
A 34-year-old male inmate was stabbed multiple times. He was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries.
On June 4, 2022, the 34-year-old male succumbed to his injuries in hospital. His death is being treated as a homicide.
Major Crime Services along with The Pas RCMP, continue to investigate.
