Manitoba Keewatinowi Okimakanak is working with the owner of Thompsons City Centre Mall to develop a mural, and is looking for an Indigenous artist to work on it.
MKO says the mural will reflect life in the North, and the purpose of it is to display a snapshot of the community that makes it unique.
Grand Chief Garrison Settee says he commends Strathallen Property Management for continuing to work with MKO and recognizing the role First Nations have in Thompson.
The deadline to apply is July 30th and the winner will be selected August 15th.
