On March 30, 2022, at approximately 8:30 am, The Pas RCMP received a report of a 40-year-old male from Opaskwayak Cree Nation who had been shot, sustaining serious, but non-life threatening injuries.
Investigation has determined the shooting occurred on Hone Street in The Pas. RCMP Police Dog Services attended the scene to assist with the search for a suspect.
Shane Knutson, 30, from Opaskwayak Cree Nation is wanted in relation to the assault. There is a warrant for his arrest. It is believed he is still in the area. Knutson is described as 6 feet tall, 220 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. He sometimes wears glasses.
