Investing in Our Futures Grant Update March 21st

Community Futures Cedar Lake recently presented cheques to local community members and organizations on behalf of the investing in our futures grant, a grant that was created to support community projects that add to the general well being of the community while stimulating economic growth.

 

Sharain Jones with the Sam Waller Museum received a grant of $5000 that will be used to update the museum collection storage, Dave Ferguson with The Ralls Island community Centre received a $5000 grant that will be use to make improvements to their hockey rink and to purchase a snow blower, Roberta Marlow with the Carrot Valley Community Centre received a grant of $3700 to go towards a cell phone booster for the community centre and for playground equipment upgrades, and Desarae George and Holly Lajambe with The Pas Community Renewal Corporation  received a $5000 grant that will be used for certificate courses that will be taught by local instructors.

 

The Community of Cormorant is expecting to receive some grant funding later on to make improvements to their fire halls shower.
