The Pas Friendship Centre is asking for donations to assist families that were displaced due to a fire that destroyed the legal aid building at the 200 block of Edwards Avenue over the weekend.

Three families were living in the buildings apartments at the time and the friendship centre is asking for donations of personal hygiene items, gently used or new clothing, toys, cleaning supplies, and monetary donations.

Donations can be dropped off at The Pas Friendship Centre location at 81 Edwards Avenue or you can call 204-627-7500 for more information.

The cause of the fire is not known as of news time.
