The Northern Manitoba Trappers’ Festival board of directors would like to congratulate long time board member Linda McFarland on receiving the Lieutenant Governor of Canada’s Sovereign’s Medal for Volunteers.
“Linda has been an integral part of Northern Manitoba Trappers’ Festival for more than 30 years and we are very proud that she continues to serve as an active board member.
Linda’s contributions go beyond her long-time organization of the Trappers’ Festival Arts and Craft Show and her knowledge and willingness to assist with all aspects of Festival is appreciated beyond measure,” Northern Manitoba Trappers’ Festival Chairperson Jennifer Cook said.
Linda was formally presented her medal at the November 16th board meeting. Her citation included her many years of involvement with Trappers’ Festival as well as her other community involvement over the years.
“Linda is a shining example of volunteerism in a community. She selflessly gives of her time to organize the Arts and Craft Show, which is one of our pillar events. We are so proud of Linda and appreciate all she does for Festival and the community,” Cook said.
