On November 2, 2021, at approximately 8:45 pm, RCMP responded to a shots fired call on Portage Road, in Moose Lake.
Multiple callers had reported hearing shots fired in the area. Officers attended and located a 13-year-old male victim suffering from a gunshot wound. He was taken to the nursing station and later transferred to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The investigation led officers to identify a suspect vehicle and The Pas RCMP set up a roadblock on Highway 384. A short time later the suspect vehicle was stopped at the roadblock and six occupants were arrested.
A 15-year-old male was arrested and charged on an outstanding warrant for Failing to Comply with Release Order x2 and Failing to Comply with a Probation Order x2.
A 13-year-old male was arrested and charged on an outstanding warrant for Robbery and Failing to Comply with a Release Order x 3.
The investigation is ongoing and these males may face new charges related to the shooting.
Delaney Patchenose, 28, has been charged with Discharging a Firearm, Careless Storage of a Firearm and Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm in a Motor Vehicle.
The other three occupants were released without charges.
