On February 7, 2020, the Independent Investigation Unit (IIU) had issued a media release advising that it had concluded its investigation into an incident into the injury of a 36-year-old man during his arrest by RCMP in The Pas.

The final report of the IIU was not released as the affected person had charges pending before the courts as a result of the incident. Those charges have now been disposed andyou can read the full report by following this link.
