The Pas Fire Department is  planning more controlled burns in The Pas at the end of First Street, the Halcrow Lake area, and along the rivers edge starting from the bridge and going as far as Bell Avenue.

Fire Chief Randy Manych adds that if you see a grass fire with a lot of people around that means it is likely being looked after and the fire department does not need to be notified unless something is as at risk or if it appears the fire is out of control.

The fire department responded to two grass fires in the community last Friday one was a controlled burn where no action was required.
