Kelsey Community School Principal Jay Marin spoke to Arctic Radio about their remote learning procedures and the upcoming winter break.

 

It was announced that the winter holiday will be extended for two weeks in schools across the province but the Kelsey Community School will still offer in class learning for students in Kindergarten to Grade 6.

 

Marin says he understands that there will be some apprehension from parents and caregivers to sending children to school.

 

Parents and care givers that are not comfortable sending their children to school should inform their childs teacher that they will not be sending their child to school so that teachers can make work packages for the students. Parents or caregivers will be required to pick up the package once it’s put together.
