No New Cases of COVID-19 Identified During Third Round of Testing at the Keeyask Site

After the third round of COVID-19 testing which concluded last week, Manitoba Hydro says it has no new confirmed cases to report.

Hydro states that between Tuesday and Thursday of last week, 617 tests were administered at the construction site.

This follows the additional measures put in place at Keeyask after a positive case was reported in late October.

Since then, 39 cases were confirmed following the initial positive test, which have since recovered.

Dave Bowen, the director of the Keeyask project, explains that Hydro is happy to see no new cases arise from this latest round of testing, but adds that it’s aware the chance of cases emerging is still a possibility given the current numbers in the province.
