Last Thursday evening around 8:42 The Pas Fire Department responded to a report of a car fire behind an apartment block on Tremaudan Avenue.

Fire Chef Randy Manych said the fire started under the hood of a minivan and crews were able to contain the fire.

The vehicle was a total loss after the fire and Manych believes the fire may have been started by a faulty block heater as the vehicle was plugged in at the time.
