Over the next couple of months Manitoba Public Insurance will provide 25 speed display boards to 13 communities in the province.
The speed boards are electronic signs that use radar to detect the speed of an approaching vehicle and display the speed on an LED message display with the goal of encouraging motorists to obey the posted speed limit.
The Town of The Pas and Thompson are expected to receive these speed boards.
