Dave Hachey the president of the cleaning and disinfecting company Ogena Solutions spoke to Arctic Radio with some advice on how to use disinfectants during the pandemic.

When using a disinfectant it’s important to ensure that surfaces are cleaned before applying disinfectants otherwise they won’t work properly, this rule is especially important when using bleach. Bleach should never be mixed with soap either.

Another mistake people make is ignoring the contact time listed on the products labels, which is the amount of time that a surface has to be wet for a disinfectant to work properly.
