RCMP Seeking Public's Assistance With Fraud Investigation

The Manitoba RCMP is seeking the public's assistance in gaining more information on the movements of three suspects arrested last month in Norway House.

On August 6, 2020, at approximately 8:35 pm, Norway House RCMP responded to a call of a suspicious vehicle that had gone through the COVID-19 checkpoint in the community. It was reported that the occupants did not seem to know where they were going and had refused to answer multiple questions. Officers located the vehicle and conducted a traffic stop. A subsequent investigation led to a search of the vehicle, and officers seized over 70 counterfeit IDs, a large amount of cash, multiple cellphones and pepper spray.

Beni Gileza, 23 and Sekou Toure, 19, both of Chateauguay, Quebec and Wesnerlens Jordonne, 22 of Mercier, Quebec, were arrested and face multiple charges related to identify theft, fraud and possession of property obtained by crime.

Officers continue to work diligently on this complex and comprehensive file and are attempting to obtain more information on the movements of these three males.

The Manitoba RCMP is releasing photos of the three accused along with a stock photo of the SUV they were using in Manitoba, to try and obtain further information on their movements between August 5 and August 6.

The three males arrived by plane from Montreal to Winnipeg on August 5. They rented a white Nissan Kicks SUV with Manitoba licence plate KGS 345. RCMP believe that the suspects travelled to Swan River, Sapotaweyak Cree Nation, Moose Lake, The Pas, and Norway House.

The suspects attended several businesses along the way, and fraudulently obtained Visa prepaid cards using false Quebec Identification along with other forms of false identification.

It should also be noted that there is some evidence to suggest that Beni Gileza may have been in the Selkirk area during the month of January 2020.

If you had contact with these three men or have any information on their activities please report it to your local police or call Crime Stoppers anonymously at 1-800-222-8477, or secure tip online at www.manitobacrimestoppers.com.
