The Premier says The Government Has Made Life More Affordable for Manitobans

Premier Brian Pallister has reported Manitoba households are saving on average 812 dollars this year.  He says it’s because of measures taken by the provincial government in Budget 2020 and its COVID-19 response.

He stated all of these measures and dozens of others have helped save Manitobans more than 400 million dollars this year which is an average of 812 dollars per Manitoba household.  He adds when you combine this with all the work they’ve done since 2016 including the PST reduction of one percent they have saved the average Manitoba household more than 13 hundred dollars annually.

Along with the 2020 budget it factors in COVID-19 measures such as the Seniors Economic Recovery Credit, Risk Recognition Program, Manitoba Public Insurance Rebates, Disability Economic Support Program and the Manitoba Bursary Program.
