Our MP Niki Ashton’s took time to praise Northern Manitobans for doing their part to limit the number of COVID 19 cases in our region in her latest MP report.

Ashton says it’s clear that COVID 19 is back with a vengeance as the South has seen an increase in cases but it was encouraging to hear the travel restrictions to the North have been implemented once again and was pleased that public health officials have been urging people to follow the restrictions put in place by Northern Communities.

Ashton wants to emphasize that COVID 19 is going to be with us for a long time and as our MP she will continue to speak out to ensure that the right policies and supports are in place to limit the pandemics impact on our region.

Ashton will continue to support those that have been impacted by the pandemic adding she has put pressure on the federal government to put in place support that fishers need.
