The Manitoba Liberals are calling for better access to online learning in Manitoba and Canada.

A statement from the party says the COVID 19 pandemic has highlighted the need for every child to have access to learning online and there are still substantial numbers of children in Canada that are unable to access the internet.

MLA Jon Gerrard and Judy Klassen have written a letter to members of parliament suggesting an initiative that would ensure every child in Canada has internet access and a computer so they can continue their education.

He added that if there is a second wave of the virus we need to be ready to ensure that children have access to online learning.
