Health, Seniors and Active Living Minister Cameron Friesen made an announcement yesterday that the Manitoba government is working to develop all season shelters that will be located near personal care homes that would allow residents to visit their loved ones safely.

Friesen believes that allowing personal care home residents to safely visit with their families is central to their health and well being.

The proposed shelters would have to be protected from the elements, easily cleaned, and provide space for quality connections.
