Holly Lajambe from The Pas Friendship Centre spoke to Arctic Radio to talk about this year’s National Indigenous Peoples Day celebrations, their original plan was to have another stage show with a pow wow but due to the COVID 19 pandemic this year’s celebrations will be virtual.
The virtual celebrations will be done on a Facebook group “National Indigenous Peoples Day The Pas and Area and videos containing indigenous culture will be uploaded throughout the day.
There are also plans to have the Cree Puppeteers put on a show for adults and a video from last year’s celebrations is expected to be made available for viewing as well.
