The University College of the North released a statement this week regarding the events occurring in the United States.

UCN supports equal and respectful treatment for Black Americans and all radicalized peoples by law enforcement and they support the right to speak out and protest injustice.

UCN has acknowledged that Canada has its own history of systemic racism by the state against indigenous and black populations and they continue to work hard for reconciliation and create a society that is more just and fair, one that recognizes diversity as a source of strength.
