Carl Nabess-Genaille was arrested in Brandon by RCMP Major Crime Services, along with the assistance of Brandon Police Service, RCMP Police Dog Services and Blue Hills RCMP.
On May 11, 2020 at approximately 2:45 am, The Pas RCMP responded to the community of Cormorant, for an injured male on the roadway. RCMP along with Emergency Medical Services attended, and the 26-year-old male was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Investigators have charged Carl Robert James Nabess-Genaille with Manslaughter and Failing to Remain at the Scene of a Collision Causing Death. A warrant has been issued for his arrest.
