Opaskwayak Cree Nation has chosen to extend their community wide curfew to May 18th. The curfew is in effect from 10PM until 6AM and it was originally enforced on April 6th as a COVID 19 measure.
With the announcement that Manitoba will be gradually reopening the province and businesses OCN will continue to monitor the steps being taken to help flatten the curve.
An announcement was also made that Opaskwayak Cree Nation is experiencing a high volume of calls for sewer backups.
OCN wants to remind members that they shouldn’t flush facial tissues, paper towels, or flushable wipes down the toilet as this can clog your home pipes and to put these items in the garbage instead.
