Manitoba to Ease Restrictions on Businesses Starting Monday

The Manitoba Government announced that they will be easing COVID 19 restrictions starting on Monday.

Dentists, physiotherapists, retail stores, hair salons, and restaurant patios will be allowed to continue operating at no more than 50 percent capacity.

Other public places such as libraries, campgrounds, and museums will be allowed to reopen as long as they maintain physical distancing measures.

The ban on gatherings of more than 10 people and the travel restrictions will remain in effect but the limit on gatherings could be raised later on in May if the cases remain low in the province.

The second phase of easing restrictions could see the reopening of dine in restaurants, nail salons, and allowing non contact children’s sports.

Mass gatherings such as concerts and sports events will not be permitted until at least September.
