Our MP Niki Ashton praised the announcement that the Federal Government would be sending the military to assist first nation’s communities during the COVID 19 epidemic saying she was glad that the Federal government heeded their call for military action and that they now need to ensure that this help reaches people in our north.

Ashton stated in a news release that the provincial government needs to support first nations in their calls for military aid and we must also ensure the federal government continues to act on their commitment to indigenous communities.
