Our MP Niki Ashton recently called on the Minister of Indigenous Services to do more to keep First Nations people safe from COVID 19.

Ashton stated that First Nations are not getting support they need as some communities have had doctors pulled, many are not able to do testing, and others need field hospitals urgently.

Ashton has echoed the calls of indigenous leaders to increase the supply of doctors and other healthcare professionals for First Nations and she urges the Federal Government to follow the lead of other countries and mobilize graduating medical students and nurses and retired doctors to offer assistance.
