Our MP and NDP Transport Critic Niki Ashton is calling on the federal Government to implement measures to ensure safe operations and financial supports to transportation workers and the self employed during the COVID 19 epidemic.

Government support is needed for workers in the transportation industry to help them cope with an economic downturn.

Ashton acknowledged that while self isolation is important the government needs to support the transportation industry so that people can leave their homes to access things that they need and for truckers to deliver essential goods including food and medical equipment.
