The Kelsey School Division approved their budget for the upcoming school year at Monday night’s board meeting.

According to a media release from the school division the budget is set at over 20 million dollars but they face a shortfall in revenue of about $300,000

The board will have to make some cutbacks to school programs for the upcoming school year.

The swimming program for students in Kindergarten to Grade 5 will have to be curtailed.

After two years of no salary increase the government will allow a 0.75 increase for teachers.
