The Kelsey School Division sent out a press to release to give an update on the COVID 19 epidemic.

 

Teachers will do what they can to provide direction and support to parents and students from home and they encourage parents to engage their children in learning opportunities.

 

As of now there are no confirmed or presumptive cases of the virus among Manitoba students and action is being taken to ensure students receive an education.

 

The COVID 19 response planning working group is working with stakeholders to consider separate assessment options for Kindergarten to Grade 8 students and credit attainment options for students in Grades 9 to 12.

 

Manitoba Education is also working to develop a strategy for students without access to computers and special needs students.

 

A decision on provincial exams is expected to be made over the next few weeks.
