Bonnie Meadows from The Pas Precious Pet Kennels spoke to The Pas Mayor and council on Monday evening to talk about the situation with Stray Dogs in the area.

 

She suggested using the towns dog pound to accommodate strays and to have it open as often as possible

 

Meadows also requested funding for a spay and neuter clinic to reduce the number of strays in the community. Another problem she faces is having to deal with too many stray dogs.

 

Meadows is also required to have strays vaccinated before she can take them. It’s not known at this time how the town will address this issue.

 

She is looking for volunteers to assist with rescues and fundraisers.

 

Meadows would like to invite high school students that are looking to get community service hours.
