Opaskwayak Cree Nations Chief and Council released a statement that they are standing in solidarity with the Wet’suwet’en Hereditary Chiefs, who are known in the indigenous community as land defenders and protectors.

Chief Christian Sinclair stated that while mainstream Canada sees our actions as inconvenient they see this as exercising their rights to protect mother earth.
