NDP Leader Wab Kinew spoke to Arctic Radio about his recent visit to The Pas. While taking part in some of the Trappers Festival festivities he also took time to listen to concerns from The Pas and area residents and he read his inspirational picture book “Go Show the World” to some local students.

Kinew added that if the NDP were to form Government in Manitoba there plan would involve putting more doctors, nurses, and health care professionals in the region with hopes that people can access health care closer to home reducing the need for people to travel to access services.

Another plan is to provide more mental health support.

Kinew wants everyone in Northern Manitoba to feel that they have a shot at living a good life as anyone else in the province.
