With February being Heart Month, the Heart and Stroke Foundation has released a report focusing on women’s heart health.

The report states that when it comes to heart and brain health, women have been under-researched, as two-thirds of heart and stroke research is based on men.

Amanda Nash with the Heart and Stroke Foundation says there have been strides made in recent years to further research women’s heart health, as they have found biological differences in how heart disease affects women.

There has been more research dedicated to women’s heart health in recent years, which has been vital in learning about how signs of heart disease are different for women.
