MP Niki Ashton’s latest MP report stated that as transportation critic for the NDP caucus she will be fighting hard for improved airline services.

Many Northern Manitobans rely on air travel and Ashton says one key element is passenger rights.

Canada brought in specific passenger rights for everything from delayed luggage to cancelled flights and now some companies in the airline industry are now trying to have these passenger rights overturned in court and the Federal Government deferred the airlines case to the courts.

Ashton believes the Liberals need to stand up for the rights of Canadian Passengers rather than giving in to the demands of airline companies.
