OCN Comprehensive Community Plan Vote for Projects

Victoria Lathlin spoke to Arctic Radio about a community vote for the Opaskwayak Cree Nation Comprehensive community plan.

The vote is scheduled to be held on February 29th at the Veterans Hall at two in the afternoon and it will give community members a chance to vote on proposed projects that they think the community needs.

Some of the projects listed in the comprehensive community plan that people can vote on include the idea of opening a bowling alley and other recreational options, building a museum, and building apartments.

Past leaders and ancestors had comprehensive community plans in the past so that future generations would have a good community to live in and the goal of this plan is to make the community better for the future generations.

The community vote will be held at the Veterans Hall on February 29th at 2PM You can email lathlin at victorialathlin@opaskwayak.ca for more information.
