Michelle Langlois Rushton Still Urging the Town to Address Homelessness in the Community

The Pas Resident Michelle Langlois Ruston addressed town council during Monday night’s council meeting.

The main points she addressed were the issues of people loitering and getting drunk on the streets and people using an old abandoned building near her home as a place to party and cause mischief.

She has also been unable to use her bank at convenient times because it is closed after hours and on weekends possibly due to vagrants.

Mayor and council assured Langlois Rushton that they are not ignoring the problem and that they will continue to figure out a solution.

The town is considering the possibility of hiring community safety officers to patrol the community to prevent mischief.
