Our local MP Niki Ashton has been named the NDP’s Critic for Public Ownership and Transport and Deputy Critic for Woman and Gender Equality.

Ashton says Northerners have been seeing services they rely on cut and privatized and she is proud to lead the charge in defending what should belong to people, adding that transportation is a major challenge for our region and the Federal Government needs to be part of the solution.

Ashton will call on the Minister of Transport to act on key priorities for our north.
