It has been reported that a threat was made online recently against Scott Bateman Middle School saying that they were going to shoot up the school.

Principal Kelly Wadelius told Arctic Radio that the information regarding the threat was brought to his attention during the parent teacher night on Wednesday by the RCMP.

It was agreed that the school would be in lockdown on Thursday meaning that the school doors would be locked and students had the option of staying home that day without being marked absent.

A 12 year old boy from The Pas was arrested yesterday in connection to this incident and is facing charges of uttering threats.
