Future Skills Centre held an event at the UCN campus here in The Pas on Monday afternoon called The Manitoba Regional Founding.

The goal of the event was to listen to the residents of The Pas and area to learn about what skills people in the area have and their employment challenges.

Future Skills Centre Representative Heather McIntosh says they had a great turn out with a variety of different stakeholders to talk about challenges related to employment.

One of the biggest challenges brought up was finding people to fill vacant jobs in the region and to encourage them to stay in the area.

Future Skills Centre is committed to preparing Canadian workers for employment.
