The Liquor, Gaming and Cannabis Authority of Manitoba has launched their new public education campaign to get adult Manitobans thinking about limit setting strategies when cannabis edibles become available for purchase next month.

Unlike smoking or vaping, cannabis edibles take up to two hours for people to feel the effects which may lead to over consumption which is why it’s important to start with a small amount and then wait.

Adults that choose to use cannabis are reminded to keep it away from children and pets, choose low THC when picking out edibles and other products, and avoid mixing cannabis with alcohol.

The LGCA would also like to point out that just because cannabis is legal, doesn’t mean you have to try it.
