Since January 22nd, Manitoba’s RCMP detachments have provided eagle feathers as a way for those involved in legal proceedings to affirm, and The Pas RCMP detachment is one of them.
Special Constable Rob Cleveland says the eagle feather is a powerful symbol in the culture of the Indigenous Peoples of North America.
It symbolizes trust, honor, strength, wisdom, power and freedom.
