Eighteen newly elected NDP candidates were sworn in last week as members of the Legislative Assembly to form Manitoba’s official opposition.

The NDP caucus is one of the most diverse in Manitoba’s history with six woman, five indigenous people, nine people of colour, and two openly gay members.

Manitoba NDP leader Wab Kinew stated that they plan to use every tool at their disposal to hold the Pallister Government to account.

Our local MLA, Critic for Families, and Deputy Whip of the Official Opposition Amanda Lathin was re-elected.
